If I delete fields inside a form, will it delete all the form data that has been collected from submissions in the past? It used to on BC so just want to make sure I’m not going inadvertently delete content if I shuffle the form fields.
Hi @SiroccoDigital. In my testing of this, the existing submitted data remains saved to the form submission/case, however, the field itself is no longer available for editing (either for existing records or new ones).
If the case is then edited, the data will be removed.
This is the same for Advanced CRM Groups.
So, effectively, yes the data will be removed (eventually).
As a work-around, you could delete the field on the Edit Layout tab without actually deleting the field on the Form Builder tab. And you could also prevent the unwanted field from displaying on the form submission thank you page and auto-reply email.
