I have a client migrating over from BC. They get few transactions through their online store, but they still want to have it up. Their preference is to have the website generate a “quote” and notify them. Then they would send an invoice through their payment processor (not Treepl integrated) manually .
Is it possible to setup ecommerce without a payment processor and just use it in this way?
I guess you could set the payment method dropdown on the checkout form to something like ‘Cash’ or ‘EFT’…
The order will go through and the client can apply a payment towards it manually later.
But how do they actually collect payment? They’d need to contact the client manually for payment info as this couldn’t really be passed through the checkout process.
This is a good question. They would use their (not Treepl) payment processor to generate an invoice, which would be emailed to the client, then the client could pay online through that payment processor, or by phone.
(I know … seems like we’re reinventing the wheel here)
