Ability to assign multiple Owners (“Added by” field) (similar to how we can with Tags and Categories) to an item as there could be multiple contributors.
This would need to flow through to the customer-submitted content process. Particularly where you have “Anyone can edit items” enabled so multiple editors/contributors are recorded against the item.
Or perhaps there are two fields; 1) ‘Added by’ - single source, the original owner, and 2) ‘Contributors’ - multiple sources, anyone editing the item.
This way the current field can stay as is while a new field is introduced.

I really need this functionality too. I am converting a membership site, and the membership can be a single membership or a dual membership. Both members need to be owners of the “membership” and be able to edit info about the membership as one item.
In BC I had to create a “membership” parent webapp and a “members” child webapp. Then I had to write lots of filtering code to limit who could edit what. This would really simplify the conversion.
Can I give all three votes to one item?
@Peter-Schmidt I think we have duplicate items in the backlog. Can you merge them please:

Unless these are subtlety different and I’m not seeing it. @Adam.Wilson Do you see a difference between these two?

Hmm, ‘Authors’ is different from ‘Owners’ (“Added by” field), but I’d say the functionality is probably the same so they could probably be upgraded together.
So yeah, I guess combine them and the team can decide if/how they proceed.
There is also a backlog request for the data source field to be a multi-select too. Perhaps that could be merged here also?
Treepl Portal
Hi guys (@Adam.Wilson & @Alex_B_Centrifuge)
I guess the easiest, in terms of voting, would be to delete this one (Treepl Portal).
Should I add something on the other request about Owners/authors?

Yeah, that sounds like the way to go.
So perhaps change the title to “Multiple Owners and Authors Assigned To Item”.
And then just add to the end of the description:
“And same for the ‘Authors’ field.” ?

Cool - Thanks @Adam.Wilson
I’ve updated it now - Will take a couple of minutes before it is visible in the portal
