Upgrading plan from essential to business. Developing full site with live placeholder site

I’ve got a client that needed a placeholder page so I went live with a single page and the Essentials plan. Now I’m developing the full site which will need to be on at least a business plan to include custom modules.

  1. How are plan upgrades done? Is this via support? How is the pricing handled?

  2. What’s the best strategy here?
    A. Should I dev on a trial site and then switch the domain and upgrade the plan? Can this be done?
    B. Should I upgrade the live site and then develop on it?

Does anybody have experience with this process with treeple? I feel like @alex might have the answers I need.

Hi Alex,

  1. Currently you request it through support. We would create new invoice and PayPal and cancel previous subscription. Kinda of a hassle, but changing this flow is already in plans
  2. I guess B would be best. Starting with a plan that you would eventually use is the easiest way really, for now.
